First let’s look at the benefits of testosterone, besides the obvious, low testosterone has been linked to heart attacks. In a result study by the Arrhythmia Research Laboratory at the Cedar-Sinai Heart Institute, Los Angeles, called “Sudden Cardiac Death”, low testosterone and high estrogen was cited as a contributor in heart attacks.
Another benefit of testosterone is the reduction of belly fat. Belly fat is often associated with increased levels of estradiol, a form of estrogen. Testosterone is converted to estradiol in the system. Myomin is an aromatase inhibitor, blocking the conversion of testosterone to estradiol. Testosterone helps block the formation of belly fat in the body.

BPA is a contributor to excess estrogen in the body which can trigger migraines in people.
We read an article today that Rodale News published in reference to a new study linking BPA in canned foods to migraines. This study singles out BPA exposure as making migraines worse. The article discusses avoiding canned foods and thermal receipts as well as not microwaving foods in plastic.

For years, women’s longevity was thought to be due to estrogen. This is not necessarily so. In fact, studies have shown that giving estrogen to postmenopausal women can actually do more harm than good; estradiol has been found to increase the risk of many types of cancer such as breast, ovarian, prostate and endometrial cancer.
Furthermore, estrogen does not protect against cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is currently the # 1 cause of death among women in the United States.
