This week we are sharing a multi-part post on Early Markers for Lung Disease. This is the final part of the post. Please feel free to make comments or ask questions on these blog postings. Thank you!
Bamboo Extract for Respiratory Infections
For upper respiratory lung infections, including ear infections, Bamboo Extract is recommended. It has natural antibacterial and anti-candida properties, with studies showing inhibitory effect against bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, E.coli, Bacillus as well as on the fungus, Candida albicans. Studies also show it has expectorant and anti-inflammatory effects, making it excellent for those with cough.
Bamboo Extract can even be considered as first aid for mild to moderate acute respiratory infections. For severe infections, it is safe to take Bamboo Extract with prescription antibiotics.
R. Welch, DC from California, has a 6-year-old boy patient who took Bamboo Extract for colds and asthma. His mom had this to write: “…Not only did the Bamboo Extract help him get over the colds in a week and a half but I have also not had to use his inhaler once in over 6 months.”
Sinus Chi for Sinusitis, Rhinitis
Sinus Chi is an herbal supplement that can reduce inflammation in the sinuses and can block histamine release for the relief of rhinitis symptoms. Studies show that it helps reduce symptoms such as sinus congestion, runny nose, sneezing, chills, fever and headaches. For rhinitis or hay fever, take Sinus Chi at the start of the allergy season for best results. For sinus infections, combine with Bamboo Extract for optimal results. To relieve nasal and lung congestion, combine with OxyPower.
Synergen for Asthma
Synergen adjusts the hypothalamus-pituitary adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) system to increase target cells’ cAMP and beta-receptor function. It also reduces the IgE level and blocks histamine release to help relieve respiratory symptoms.
Cordyceps Extract for General Lung Function
Cordyceps Extract is a type of mushroom that has been used traditionally for lung, kidney and immune functions. For the lungs, Cordyceps reduces bronchial inflammation and promotes oxygen uptake.
