Thyroid Care supports a healthy thyroid gland. This formula contains iodine and L-Tyrosine which are required by the thyroid to synthesize key hormones.
Optimal levels of iodine benefit the thyroid gland and enhance metabolism. Americans used to have iodine supplemented in the diet through iodized table salt but worries about sodium intake have caused some people to have a deficiency in this important mineral. Additionally, certain toxic materials compete with iodine in the body. As we are exposed to greater levels of chlorine, bromine (bromide) and fluoride, the body requires more iodine for ongoing detoxification.
L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is necessary for the body to produce thyroid hormones. Supplemental tyrosine has been found to also be beneficial for mood, stress relief, mental function and memory. Food sources of L-Tyrosine are cheese, eggs, almonds and avocados but it may be beneficial to supplement to receive large enough amounts of it.
